Depends on your personal color preference. You can cover it with a
piece of silver duct tape, or black electrical tape.

Good chance the screen it going bad.

You mean ... like.. tab, space, CR, and LF's? OK, just kidding.

Does a print screen pasted into a graphic program also show the
white space? Does it have 90 degree corners (or singular
"corner"). Ho about if you cast it to a TV or whatever - if you
have that ability. This will tell you if the computer is doing
this or your monitor/graphics card is fucked.

Post a picture of what you're looking at and the OS, monitor
model, and graphics card (or CPU model w/graphics).
