A while back I consulted with a group in the UK and was told that a
manager quit to work independently. They said he would lose his health
insurance. I said that with socialized medicine, I did not think they
needed insurance. I was told it was about 100 pounds a month to give
them insurance for better access to the health care system. I guess
they got doctors faster working off the clock for extra income.

I have heard of people waiting months in wheel chairs in the UK to get a
knee or hip replacement.
