QE2 was the last of the Class Acts - the post-war gen
just doesn't seem to have "it" - more spoiled brats.

Elizabeth had NAZI bombs land at her front door, a
constant threat of kidnapping/assassin squads and
the Old World royal sensibilities about responsibility
and duty. Didja know she was an Army grease-monkey
during the war ... fixing/delivering/routing vehicles
even as a teenager, her head down the bonnet and filthy
hands ?

Brit royals have a history of being IN The Fight.
That tempers the soul. Most euro royals like to
dress up as military, but Brit titled-class are, well,
'different' and DO put their butts on the line.
I think Harry has a touch of PTSD because of that.

(I found a vid taken a number of years ago at an Army
arms/tech expo. She picked up a new-model assault rifle,
and handled it like a pro. I think any idiot who kicked
in her door would have had a VERY short life expectancy.
Her mother made sure the kiddies knew how to handle
automatic weapons - so if the NAZIs came they'd damned
well regret it)

William shows promise, but I'm not sure his father
is really up to it. He's better at petty "woke"
crusades. Maybe he'll surprise us.

First off - what do do about Harry ? A disgrace.
Not much he COULD do without traumatizing Mum, but
now ... ?

This is a BAD time for the UK. Their Covid strategy
largely bankrupted the country and has caused a
number of institutions to implode - most seriously
the health system. Now there's rampant inflation
and a serious energy shortage. Truss CLAIMS she will
fix it - but that requires both a LOT of money (which
might not be forthcoming) AND the actual resources,
which Putin has made VERY short.

All of the western world has been living an economic
lie for a long time now - maintaining the illusion of
wealth via borrowed money and printing money. There WILL
come a time when the bill comes due ... and for the UK
that's likely to be NOW.
