I figured that few people did. I always at least scan each post that
isn't filtered out, since topics drift so frequently.

A zillion people I hadn't seen in 20 years linked to my account, then
their friends, ad infinitum. I deleted the account without ever having
made use of it.

I started a mailing list about 20 years ago and it's still going.
4 of us that met in a ng. We've all become long-distant friends.
One has actually come for a visit alone or with his wife about 6 times.
Slowed down now but we still keep in touch a few times a week.

I keep Facebook around for a messaging platform, for some family members
and friends whom I otherwise wouldn't contact. I scan a few groups from
time to time, but I'm not into the social media craze.

I can't say that I've ever counted. Probably more, if you count
irregular posters. Either way, there seems to be an anti-facebook

I counted a couple of months ago and it was allegedly 30. I say
allegedly because it may have been some different names from the same
person. That was over a few weeks. On a daily basis, much less.

They're all Score: -9999

Some of those are for subject lines containing XANAX and whatnot.

A person could run their own newsgroup from their own email box.
I have two groups in my contacts list. One is for everyone in our
NFL football pool. I rarely send messages to them anymore because
the thrill of the pool has dwindled with me the past few years although
I still get in. I call that group "football Peoples". The other group is for
people who enjoy my writings - yes, they do exist - and is called "Story
Peoples." They say they enjoy them and I don't disbelieve them, but I
am honest enough with myself to know they don't enjoy them to the max
because if I got a long time without sending anything I never get a "Hey man,
how about some stories, we're dying out here." But that doesn't mean they
don't enjoy them. I only put people in that group who express a liking for
my stories. I like the group concept for the email box. When I drove
cab in the 90s or so I listed some people by what they did instead of
their names. For example, if I had three guys I bought weed from, all
their names would go under "W". If I had two or three guys I called for
cabs now their names would go under "C". I have a metal file cabinet
for a brain and it's beginning to rust.
