Republicans hate elections, they
admire "strong man" rulers who don't
stoop to such democratic "weaknes"

Just witness their attacks on the
17th Amendment, that the public is too
stupid to vote for Senators, that the
"wiser" (read: more bribeable) state
legislators should make that call.
