If true (always be skeptical these days) this is TERRIBLE
news for Putin and ultra-demoralizing for the remaining
troops and would-be conscripts.

The Ukrainians seem to have the formula down now and
are kickin' ass. They have the momentum and will.

Which, alas, leaves Putin with very few choices :
1) Let his rep and army fall apart
2) Retreat considerably to defensible positions and dig in deep
3) Cause complicating/distracting/costly catastrophes elsewhere
4) Use WMDs.
