Just noticing ... there are all kinds of cutting-edge medical
treatments for whatever being published. The THING is that they
keep saying "Oh, we'll have that out in FIVE or TEN *YEARS*"

No good.

Today I saw that 'magic mushrooms' have been found to be very
effective for depression - something that plagues MASS quantities
of people, cause of VAST numbers of suicides and worse. "Oh, we
will have the mushroom pill IN ABOUT A DECADE".

Nope.

First off, every local dealer can provide the same thing RIGHT
NOW. Expect a huge boom in mushroom cultivation now.

It's not just depression but cancer treatments and treatments
for LOTS of horrible diseases are being found by researchers
but the POLITICS/ECONOMICS delays them so long that VAST
numbers suffer/die in the meanwhile until "official" approval.

Yea, some of those things may not work as well as expected,
but something is better than nothing if you're FUCKED.

SO ... some un-aligned country might consider offering ALL
of these treatments RIGHT NOW. They would be seen as heroes.
Govts would try to ban travel there ... but it'd just
ENCOURAGE sneak-arounds and thus TRASH the existing govts.

Thailand ? Albania ? Bosnia ? SOME "in-between" country
that's not really sucking up to any of the big power
blocs can play.

Today's med-tech is IMPRESSIVE. They can find so MUCH
so QUICKLY. Alas the political/legal systems in many
of those 1st-world countries are geared to DELAY
deployment. Why die if someone ELSE will immediately
provide ? Likely you have nothing to lose ...

The System needs to catch-up with the sci/tech. If it
works, make it available NOW to serious sufferers.
No bullshit.

SOME USA states, and even US govt regs, offer a "Right
To Try" law for those severely afflicted. Does not
always work, but you CAN try it. "Cutting edge" should
be THERE for you NOW.

Flip side ... you won't be able to sue anybody if that
'cutting edge' causes problems. That has to be the
devil's deal - no getting around it.
