For an interesting read, that you won't hear about from maim stream
media,
"Fossil Future: Why Global Human Flourishing Requires More Oil,
Coal, and Natural Gas--Not Less" by Alex Epstein.

---summary---
The New York Times bestselling author of The Moral Case for Fossil
Fuels draws on the latest data and new insights to challenge
everything you thought you knew about the future of energy
And contrary to what we hear from media experts about todays renewable
revolution and climate emergency, reality has proven Epstein right:
Fact: Fossil fuels are still the dominant source of energy around
the world, and growing fastwhile much-hyped renewables are causing
skyrocketing electricity prices and increased blackouts.

Fact: Fossil-fueled development has brought global poverty to an
all-time low.

Fact: While fossil fuels have contributed to the 1 degree of warming
in the last 170 years, climate-related deaths are at all-time lows
thanks to fossil-fueled development.

Deeply researched and wide-ranging, this book will cause you to
rethink everything you thought you knew about the future of our energy
use, our environment, and our climate.
---summary---

Get it from your local library, curl up in a warm sleeping bag and
read, while playing like you're in Germany waiting for the coal fired
electricity to kick in.

I agree with what you wrote. Fossil fuel has been great for humans in
the past 100 years or so.

You are though, leaving out some important information. Fossil fuels
are finite. Over time they will be harder to find, more expensive to
obtain and will even run out.

Now is the time to figure out the alternatives. Did you know that in one
day the sun puts enough energy on the earth to meet out needs for a
year. Seems smart it figure out how to capture some of it.

Here's a book that presents what I feel is a more realistic
view of the future of resource usage by Homo sapiens:

More from Less: The Surprising Story of How We Learned to Prosper
Using Fewer Resources—and What Happens Next

I don't know, but you should write a book on it. You're an expert.
