I need to make a small passive network to
match impedances &c so that I can connect
output from a headphone jack to be the
input for a microphone jack.

I found a simple circuit diagram for
converting Headphone -> Line, and one
to convert Line -> Microphone and then
combined the two to get essentially a
voltage divider then a capacitor:

Headphone ---^v^v^v^v^----+---||----- Mic
| 5K | 1 uF |
----- | -----
--- < ---
- > -
100 <
>
<
+
-----
---
-

I am planning go to my local 'ElectroMike'
shop (I kid you not) to buy the components.

I will probably try to test with a 1 or 2 uF
trim-cap as well as a 5K ohm trim-pot,
but perhaps someone here has done similar
and can save me the time or at least say
if the values look reasonable.

(Mics have impedance ~ 2K, Headphones ~ 8 ohm.)

I'm obviously not an EE, because I'd just use
the one pot and call it good enough.
