American military officials have evacuated U.S. embassy personnel
from violence-torn Sudan, Fox News can confirm.

A source told Fox News that the evacuation was complete as of
early Sunday morning. Diplomats and their families were successfully
removed from Sudan and the capital city of Khartoum.

The Sudanese military has been working with foreign governments
to evacuate diplomats as their country descends into a massive
conflict.

Note there isn't REALLY a "Sudanese govt" at this point.
We're looking at an all-out between two or three generals
to plan to be Maximum Leader. It's go-for-broke and LOTS
of people are gonna die. Some mentioned that the streets
of the capitol now have the "stench of blood". It's
getting worse, not better.

Sudan, "Kush", once had the glory of sitting on the
Egyptian throne for generations ... but that was long
ago. These days it does have a fair amount of oil but
GOLD is another major resource.

It's geopolitical position is also of note, kind of
on the edge of militant Islamists and a lot of the
rest of northern/central Africa. A moderate, strong,
Sudan would have been an asset.

Sudan WAS, supposedly, headed towards some form of
'democracy' - but the generals won't HAVE that
obviously. None are any "better" than the others either.

Note that CHINA is a now a big player in Africa. It
covets the natural resources and has bought POWER
across the continent (while the US/EU did nothing).
Some of what happens in Sudan is going to be part
of a Chinese power game.

Anyway, the USA ... and Canada, S.Korea, Japan, EU and
many others ... are trying to get their people OUT of
Sudan as fast as possible. It's all gone to shit in
the blink of an eye. An Egyptian evac airliner has
already been damaged by gunfire. This also affects
commerce/trade, so expect large-scale starvation and
disease within a month.
