a bilingual (polyglot) joke is always a Puzzle --- (well, almost always)

i've been wondering about this (puzzle) question ...
Does James Joyce address the topic of Upstairs-Downstairs interaction (in his works) ???
--- about which i'll pose the question more fully, maybe later ...

pls share a fav. joke or a bilingual joke
--- (or a joke with Ling. or Polyglot aspect)

Both of these (below) are pretty (damn) good :

___________________________________
An Englishman, a Frenchman, a Spaniard and a German are all standing
watching an American street performer do some juggling. The juggler
notices the four gentleman have a very poor view, so he stands up on a
wooden crate and calls out, --------- "Can you all see me now?"

"Yes"
"Oui"
"Sí"
"Ja"

___________________________________
A Spanish man goes into a department store looking for a specific item
of clothing. But he can't find what he's looking for and he
doesn't know the English word for it.

So he grabs a salesperson and says, "Tienes calcetines?"

"I'm sorry, I don't know what that is," the salesperson says.

The guy tries again. "Medias?" He asks, miming pulling up
socks. The salesperson brings him to the trouser section.

"No, no quiero pantalones. Quiero medias, calcetines," he says.

And so it goes for nearly an hour. Finally, by accident, they go
to the sock (and underwear) section.

The Spanish guy, excited, points and shouts, "Eso sí que es ! "

The salesperson's jaw drops ---- "Well, why didn't you TELL me
you knew how to spell it?"

ObPuzzle: ¡Eso es!
---------- ((( a gloss is deleted
to make it a puzzle. )))

Arrrghhh! Et
merde encore un autre !

------------ is the word [comm] (comme) a typo ?
Or is this (spelling) commonly done ?

That's cool, but not what I had in mind. The "hackie" in quotes is meant to indicate that it is the subject of wordplay.
