i just came in from a place about 35 miles south of the
Colorado/Wyoming border. My sister is on her last leg.
She thinks she has about 2 or 3 weeks before she croaks.
She has had the big 'C' on and off for the last 6 years.
But it don't look like this time she is gonna beat it. She showed
me a Pet Scan and these tumors are big as baseballs around
her lungs. She is on oxygen all the time now. Taking serious
pain medications. Fuck, what a way to go eh? But she is ready
to go , her faith is strong. She is facing death straight on.
She is not afraid of dying. Son of a bitch, what a trooper.

i'm going with kind of a long shot bet.
Horse called Handon running at 8-1 shot.
Flavien Pratt is the jockey.
Pratt usually rides Hot Rod Charlie.

I'm sorry to hear that. No one deserves to go like that, but go we
must and we generally don't get to choose how.

My mother died of the big C as you call it. She was only 32 years
old. Her sister, my favourite aunt, died of it too. It was genetic,
a thing called mutated BRCA1. Luckily, as I have two daughters and 4
granddaughters, I don't have the mongrel gene which only affects
females. I had genetic testing which is free in this country.

Again, sorry to hear. I hope her passing is gentle and she finds
whatever her faith or hope is on the other side.

Transfer/swap? So it is social housing. Here, it's available on a
very long wait list for maximum of 25% of income into the household
(rent) and an income threshold of $45K PA, which isn't really much.
Very desirable as it can last for one's lifetime.

If your system is like ours, your wait list for a transfer will be a
long time. Me - I'd never move to the country because that's where I
spent the first 17 years of my life, in a fucking country town. City
life is the only life.
