The egotistical blowhard probably wanted to appear and testify, but I imagine

Wrong. It has everything to do with Trump lying about why he "couldn't" have
raped Carroll. He said (lied) that she wasn't his "type," and therefore he
"couldn't" have raped her. The implication is that if she had been his "type,"

No. Trump is the one lying. He is lying when he says he didn't know who
Carroll is, and he's lying when he says she was not his "type." She was
