21 burritos marked down to $.05/ea, I take them all for $1.05! A
savings of $13.23, which I'll use to buy the $10 bottle of beer.

Yes, please!

https://i.postimg.cc/fTGGJFMS/Burritos-and-Beer.jpg

Dinner was fish and chips. The fish being a whole red rainbow
trout (w/blackened seasoning) and the chips being crinkly and
fried in beef tallow. And the peas being snap.

I used to eat those a few years ago at Target. They
had them for 35 cents, and I kept Fire Sauce in the
break room fridge. After discounts and tax, 3 of
them were under a dollar. They were mostly bland
flour tortilla, but satisfied hunger. For 5 cents, I'd
have bought every one of them too.

That is a hell of a lot of ketchup!  I hope you have more fries on standby.

These have the thinest tortillas of all the cheap-assed burritos -
not too doughy. They microwave pretty good if you don't unwrap or
even vent them. I like the limp, soggy tortillas with these. I
prefer the "Red Hot" beef and bean, but I like all the "beef"
versions as there's always a couple-few heart valves or aorta
cross sections for added texture and chew.

I'd have been very tempted to buy them at a nickle each, for emergency
freezer rations if nothing else, but I tried that Tina's brand once. I
don't remember what they cost, but they were awful. I choked them down
with a ton of hot sauce, and never bought them again.

Yeah, I do use a lot of ketchup but I was on extra-autopilot when
I sqwerted that out and didn't use half of it. I realized it when
I got to the sink with my plate full of fish skins and ketchup.

The Red Hot Beef versions *are* the pick, and I've eaten
a lot of them, as at < 3/$1, and buyable, heatable and
eatable in a 15 minute break, they were the best option.
I'll have to take your word for it that other brands are
even more "doughy," as I've never eaten any others.
When they raised the price to almost double that, I never
bought another one.
