"This week's violence in the occupied West Bank risks spiraling
out of control, fueled by strident political rhetoric, and an
escalation in the use of advanced military weaponry by Israel,
" a statement issued by Türk's office said.

"These latest killings and the violence, along with the
inflammatory rhetoric, serve only to drive Israelis and
Palestinians deeper into an abyss," Türk said in a statement.

The UN's human rights chief added: "As the occupying power,
Israel also has obligations under international humanitarian
law to ensure public order and safety within the Occupied
Palestinian Territory."

"Israel must urgently reset its policies and actions in
the occupied West Bank in line with international human
rights standards, including protecting and respecting
the right to life," Türk said.

Israel won't do any of that.

It views itself as a Self-Defender, a "Historical
Power", righteous, not an 'occupier' or 'aggressor'.
This is not going to change. It is also a nuclear
power, so nobody's gonna push it around. It also has
strong ties to South Africa and a few other places
so nobody's gonna have much luck with 'sanctions'.
It is unique in the otherwise Arabic/Moslem geography
and is a valuable intelligence (and likely black-op)
resource for the USA and EU.

As such, if ALL the Palestinians rot and die Israel
won't CARE. They are not going to put up with
jihadists - they'll blast the shit out of them.
View them as today's Philistines, like they conquered
in the old old bad days.

So, have they become the NAZIs they once despised ?
Well ... kinda ... but there ARE a lot of diffs too.
Nothing's ever THAT simple folks, unless you're
