It's bad news for Bwyan but I appear to have made it through. I still
get the occasional bits of nasal and lung congestion but not in the
volume that I endured over the last week.

The coughing and hacking has cost me a lot of sleep. Then in Wednesday
and Thursday I went to bed at 10 am and was up every hour to two to
clear out mucus and phlegm, which was by then a lot more cooperative.
Last night I want to bed early again and woke up around 3 am feeling
like I was drowning. I first cleared my sinuses and then my lungs and
between the two I expelled at least a cup of sticky slime. I then slept
through until 9:30. I had to get rid of some more, but it there was a
lot less and it came out easily.

I had hoped that 6 doses would keep me from getting it but it became
increasingly obvious I was bound to get it at some point. The remained
that the illness would be much less severe. Thank goodness. It was bad
enough getting a mild dose of it. I sure would not want to have had a
really bad bought of it.

That could mean 2 things. Either the injections and boosters don't
help much. Or he might have ended up in hospital if he hadn't had
them.

I am not sure how severe it was considering the nature of the disease
and and how many people it has killed. I had not had a cold or flu in
years. Maybe I was wimping out because I was not used to being ill. I
have certainly never had one that had be dealing with that much phlegm
and mucus. It was only the last three days where I had fever and
exhaustion. Three nights in a row of 9 hours or more sleep in addition
to afternoon naps.

Maybe not dissolute enough. My wife gave up booze for Lent so my
consumption dropped significantly. Maybe that is what I had done wrong.

True. I am happy with the results. I am still a little under the weather

The more risk factors and/or age, the harder it would have hit if he
hadn't boosted his system's ability to fight it.

Here's a simple something you should be able to eat, if that's a
problem.

1 cup chicken broth. (add some chicken broth powder if it's too weak)
4 sticks of spaghetti or linguini, broken up

Simmer until pasta is ready, Sip, snagging a noodle bit as you like.
You are apt to be dehydrated even if you don't feel it.
