No. I don't believe McDonald is in cahoot.
If customers' information is in locked up in McDonald's safe, it would still be there.
However, if it is traded, information would has its own life passing down from one player to another.
Broken down and repackaged in various ways form different players.
Each player would extract what it want. The process would continue.
Guess who would be the final buyer for information with the lowest price?
Mostly likely scammers.
