Iron and zinc

Let's see, the other two in English would be gold and lead. However,
lead does not qualify in Swedish - we call it bly. On the other hand
niob is only four letters in Swedish, and so is uran. And tenn ("tin")
is also four letters, but I believe it's classified as a half-metal.

Curiously, in Swedish the press is sometimes referred to as "tredje
statsmakten", "The third state authority" (after parliament and
government supposedly). The expression might have fallen out of
popularity; I don't think I've seen it for quite some time.

You ain't seen nuttin' yet!

My first appartment here in Stockholm was two flights up from the street,
but the address was "1 tr", litterary, "one stair", that is the first floor.
The floor below me was "nedre botten", that is the bottom floor. Apparently,
the entrance was in the basement... And there were some kind of logic. The
store rooms that went with the apartments were in the entrance level. These
store rooms (which you find in most Swedish blocks of flats) are typically
referred to as "basement stores".
