Hey, they KNOW that the problem isn't so much the
sugar itself, but how it screws-up sugar receptors
in the stomach/duodenum. Many who have had gastric
surgery - or even had a hot-water balloon inserted -
have seen type-2 just disappear. In this mRNA era,
there SHOULD be a medicinal FIX - de-activating
most of those receptors long term.

So why NOT ??? Well, the VAST money spent on
diabete$-related treatments MIGHT be involved ....
though not all of the 1st-world countries are
that hostage to such $$$. China is now seeing
a large, predictable, uptick in type-2 ... so
maybe IT can be the worlds 'savior' here (and
gain even more $$$/status). Offer a type-2
cure and maybe a billon grateful people will
make a path to your door, sing your praises
for doing what the 'evil capitalist' world
could-not/would-not do.
