The "cure" for killings isn't necessarily more killings,
but - if things get bad enough fast enough - that may be
the only tact LEFT. Exterminating the trouble-makers
solves the immediate problem and the terror helps prevent
future problems. A tried and true low-investment "solution"
no matter what you may think of it. History is replete.

Note the Nika Riots that afflicted Byzantine emperor
Justinian ... he, well his wife who had the ACTUAL
balls, invited the rioters and opponents to a big
pow-wow at the local stadium. Then they sealed the
gates and had the army chop 'em all. Old school,
but it solved the problem.

In the 1700s, the UK had a growing crime wave not so
different from what we see in many western countries
today. However THEY had Australia ... and just dumped
the criminally-inclined there.

No such relief-valves anymore - unless Musk gets his
Mars rocket working Real Soon .....
