Geneva (AFP) – Russia's deputy foreign minister said Thursday that drone
attacks which Kyiv is alleged to have carried out on Russian military
bases would only have been possible with US assistance.

Sergei Ryabkov, who is in Geneva to address the UN Human Rights Council
and the Conference on Disarmament session, said Washington must have
provided intelligence and targeting information.

"Some time ago, Kyiv undertook UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) attacks on
facilities that provide bases for our long-range aviation in Saratov
region and also in Ryazan region," he told a press conference.

"We know that those attacks would never be possible in the absence of a
very deep and sophisticated assistance by the United States to the
Ukrainian military, including targeting, of course, intelligence provision
and also some technical assistance of other sorts."

In early December, the Russian defence ministry said Ukrainian drone
attacks caused explosions at two airfields leaving three dead.

One of them is the Engels airbase, in the southern Saratov region located
more than 600 kilometres (370 miles) from the border with Ukraine, where
some of Russia's strategic nuclear bombers are kept.

The airfields were targeted with Soviet-made drones, the ministry said at
the time.

The United States said on December 6 that it had not "enabled" Ukraine to
carry out strikes inside Russia, after a spate of drone attacks on
military-linked facilities deep within Russian territory.

Ukraine has never said whether or not it had deployed drones against
Russian territory.

### - it's surely a given that the west has been doing absolutely
everything it possibly can to assist ukraine in every imaginable way to
make it difficult for russia (just read Churchill's 'History of the
english speaking people' for a few good examples of same heh)

that when it came to fighting hitler, for example, nada was off the table
in terms of espionage and underhanded moves; from workers packing sand
into the grease bearings of german arms-shipment trains to slow deliveries
down, to putting chalk in their ink (they actually did that heh) because
by law their every official order had to be written & signed for in german
ink etc, this growing array of dirty-tricks being how the uk secret
service first got going before later evolving into Mi5/Mi6)

the point being that, if russia can come-up with any kind actual evidence
that nato countries were/are directly involved; for instance, in that
pipeline being blown up and/or their fancy bridge that time getting hit,
or perhaps even now by supplying targeting intelligence that leads to
sites in russia itself being hit by drones or whatever... then it stands
to reason russia will use that to escalate the situation even farther!

i mean, it's one thing to claim that 'ukraine' is killing russians inside
russia, it is after all a war so expected, plus might get the shit blown
outta their energy infrastructure for it, but if the US or the uk can be
proven directly responsible for same (as the above article is clearly
suggesting/insinuating) then it becomes an altogether different matter
entirely on the world stage??

b'coz wars have started over far less...

(i.e., it's all been done very covertly/discretely until now, the west
obviously involved but denying every similar accusation... so perhaps now
we're coming more outta the closet about it all, so to speak, and thus
being more forthright about: yes it's the west alright! so whatcha gonna
'do' about it then, huh? huh?)

iow: the old: "do you feel lucky... punk!" routine!

***

meanwhile, it's fuckin' FREEZING here in cornwall, jeez :)))

sitting here last night in an old stone building in front of a log fire
with my knees up the damn chimney tryin' to keep warm haha, frost
everywhere this morning, including on the 'insides' of the windows lol,
it's been fuckin' freezing! :D

gettin' blue brass monkey's here boss! haha :)))
