I've heard it referred to in various bits of history,
so it's nothing new.

If "they" kill ten of YOURS then YOU kill 100 of THEIRS.

This seems to be the point of relevant psychological
thresholds - both for the initial victims and for those
who attacked.

Hamas (take what it says with rather a lot of salt) claims
that 40,000 of theirs are now dead. That's getting close to
ten times the number IT killed in Israel.

Perhaps now some kind of 'pause' may be acceptable.

But Israel WILL keep after Hamas leaders/soldiers.
Not only have they invaded they'll have also been
placing lots and lots of spy devices so they can
keep a close eye on future goings-on, the faces
and habits of future foes.

Oh, yesterday, I heard Israel call for 'ordinary
Gazans' to KILL Hamas members. Ain't gonna happen
of course .....
