For starters tear up the Balfour Declaration, and the Israeli shall
restore and compensate for losses the properties that have been stolen
from the indigenous populations.

Religion, or some *idea* of religion, still plays a
big role, esp in the middle-east. Hamas/Hezbollah/Iran,
we're talking Islamists, jihadist thinking. Religion
greatly motivates them.

But POLITICS/POWER/MONEY also motivate. If there's
enough MONEY in it then 'religion' can be kind of
put to the side. Saudi, home of Mecca, SHOULD be
just like Iran relative to the 'west'/infidels, but
there's just SO DAMNED MUCH good money in NOT being
that way.

Religions are olde-tyme delusions IMHO, but that does
NOT mean they're gonna go away, cease playing a role,
for another 500 years at least. You can STRONGLY
motivate people by talking about what invisible beings
in the sky want them to do. Likely this was discovered
WAY WAY back, paleolithic or even well before. I'd bet
