I needed to move the Ultra the other day , and much to my surprise I
got no front brakes . Not a big surprise as I don't think that master
cylinder has ever been serviced/rebuilt . I'm looking at kits online
and I see two sizes - 11/16 and 5/8 bore . And I'm not sure which I've
got . It's a 1990 Ultra Classic with dual front discs ... anybody know
which it will be ? I'd kinda like to have the parts on hand when I take
it apart .

I've got the same parts book he's looking at . Turns out it's the
aftermarket sellers that have the same part number on both versions .
Found and ordered the correct one .

Just uncorked a fresh bottle of Ezra ...

Outstanding. Now you'll be able to stop safely, which is always good.

Since modern Harley front brakes tend to be so soft I'd probably go with
the larger cylinder just out of reflex. I recall on Patti's 92 Fatboy I
upsized the front master and it started to perform almost as well as a
Honda. On her 2003 RoadGlide under warranty "properly" setup I could
grip the lever and make it touch the grip.

The local Harley dealer said it was perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with
it.

These were never what I'd call "soft" ... but I am considering
replacing the stock lines with braided ones and doing a complete system
flush .
That bottle of Ezra is still on the table ...

Here is one for you if you like home made liqueur.

When they are available in the store, or in your favorite bog get a
bunch of cranberries. Clean them up and then beat on them with a
mallet. I like a meat mallet with the large teeth. I put the
cranberries in a large plastic bag to contain the mess. You don't want
to puree them. Just break them up good. Loosely dump them into a
gallon jar, dump a couple cups of sugar on top, and then pour in 50/50
light rum and vodka to melt the sugar until the jar is full. Then seal
it up and stick it out of the way for a few months. When you are ready
drain it off through several layers of cheese cloth in a strainer into
another container. Sip on SMALL amounts at a time. It goes down easy.

Oh, I almost forgot. The old stock with the raised painted label is
better. The stuff with the paper label is, "Meh, just another okay rye."
