This question popped into my head after I received
a covid "booster" shot.

I got the first, two dose regiment vaccinations
last February and March. After the first
I was given the covid vaccination card that
everyone gets with the first dose indicated
and then the second dose a month later.

Back then, there was no talk of a "booster" being
contemplated. There were questions of how long
the vaccine would remain effective, with most
experts saying at least a year.

But, the covid card has room for *four* vaccine
records. The first two lines are for "Dose 1 and
Dose 2". The next two lines are reserved for "other".

The card is not a record for other types of vaccinations
like flu. It's specifically for anti covid vaccinations.

So, does this mean that even then, when covid vaccinations
first started, that it was anticipated that additional
shots or doses would be required? If so, the public
was never informed of this.

Not sure I trust the big pharmaceutical companies. It
is very possible they anticipated a federal program
(i.e. - taxpayer funded) goldmine.

Ahh, yet another Covid conspiracy theory. Can we find out who designed that multi entry card and see if they are in on it too? And what about the hospitals and ER folks? Surely they are profiting big time also, at least the ones that haven't been worked to mental and physical exhaustion. Let's call up Tucker Carlson and give him more fodder for his unfounded rumor and innuendo machine.

Personally I'm just glad that semi-effective vaccines were developed and distributed in near record time, and that the majority of my friends and relatives are not anti-vaxers. The statistics show that at least some of the former anti-vaxers have finally gotten religion and signed up for shots.

For the record, I am certainly not an "anti-vaxer" Both Mrs.E. and I
received the two-dose Moderna vaccine and also both received the booster.

Heck, I even still wear a mask when I go to the supermarket or other
place with a lot of people milling around.

I just find it interesting that very early on in the vaccination program
that someone or some group seemed to think additional shots may be
required. Turns out they were.

It isn't a conspiracy just a fact.

Drug companies are in business to sell drugs and this is one sold at
the point of a government gun. It doesn't get any more lucrative than
that.

If you think they are actually "free" you have become a democrat.

It is also a fact that when they said not to laminate your card they
told us it was to leave room for boosters.
I thought it would be an annual routine like the flu shot, another
cash cow but this is looking more like every 6-9 months. They are
already talking about another booster and it hasn't been a year yet.

Semi effective is the right description. Most of the people with
Omicron are fully vaccinated. The last time Lee Health and NCH were
publishing data (last summer/fall) 18-22% of the people in the
hospital "with" Covid were vaccinated. They did admit ANYONE who tests
positive at intake, and everyone is tested, gets listed as a covid
patient, even if they have a gunshot wound or were in a car crash.
They call it "Isolated with Covid". Lee Health was putting them all in
the Cleveland Avenue hospital down town if possible.
That may explain why the US Covid numbers are so high.
My wife was in Lee Health (Health Park) for a week in August and
talked to the nurses about this every day.

predicting that Pfizer and Moderna would try to maximize the return on

Having spent many years as a government employee, I think I could make
a good guess as to why the extra lines are there.

The card was probably designed by some underling at the directions of
his boss. After meeting all the requirements of his boss, the
underling was left with some extra space at the bottom of the card.
What would you have done, left it blank or filled it with something?
