I seriously want NASA to TRY and deflect its orbit - NOW, while
there's fer-sure still time and resources. Ten or twenty KT, not
a large/heavy bomb anymore with today's tech, ought to do the
trick. Knock it more off the ecliptic and it won't bother us again.

And they can HAVE their samples, beforehand, as well. Science
AND survival - good combo !

A "more perilous" orbit ??? They CAN do math ya know (so
long as they don't mix Imperial and metric again :-)

A tiny nudge NOW means a HUGE deflection down the road.
Apophis NEEDS to be nudged. It's dino-killer class. As
said, the world situation is always chaotic. We might
NOT have the resources to give it a harder nudge next
time it comes around. We CAN fix it NOW - so DO.
