Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a ceasefire and hostage deal
with Hamas as he ordered Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops
into Gaza’s most southerly city.

The Israeli prime minister dashed hopes of a pause in the war
as he dismissed proposals for a truce that would have led to
the release of Israeli captives held by Hamas.

Mr Netanyahu rejected the proposals at an impromptu press
conference after a flurry of meetings and talks, including
with Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state.

Mr Blinken and the US have been pushing for a ceasefire and
reports suggest he warned Mr Netanyahu against sending forces
into Rafah, the last remaining pocket for the ground offensive,
where hundreds of thousands of refugees are cowering.

Blinken offers and DO THE EXACT OPPOSITE.

Oh, and what does it say about Blinken/Biden ???

In any case, Rafah is kind of the end of the line in
Gaza. It's also where most everybody - actual civvies
AND Hamas operatives (sometimes not much diff) have
gone during all this. Next stop is Egypt ... which
plainly despises Palestinians as much as Israel.
Egypt TALKS so kindly about Gazans, but think they're
gonna let a million Gazans in ? HELL NO ! Note that
nobody ELSE in the area wants them either.

Hey ..... the BBC keeps running sob pieces about the
poor poor Gazans and kiddies and such. So, LET ENGLAND
TAKE 'EM ALL IN hmm ??? Park some cruise ships right off
the border and shuttle 'em out by the thousands and
millions :-)

Hamas got away with crap rockets and little raids for
a long long time ... but with Oct 7 it bit off way
more than it could chew and took everyone down with it.

Of course Hamas doesn't CARE - it's jihad, the holy
war, in the service of god. Casualties are irrelevant -
just the righteous fight - and the last one alive screams
"Allahu Akbar !" and comes for your throat. This is
old-world stuff the west liked to BELIEVE was long gone
and doesn't really know how to cope with.
