The American educational system failed this country after it was taken over by socialist educators. They were socialist because they themsleves were useless. Socialism would give them more importance than they would otherwise have. From basic education it then moved into high education and the colleges and universities were taken over by socialists. Pure Science remained mostly unsullied because most socialists aren't very bright. But just think of this: 80% of college graduates never work one single day in their major. Otheres pitter-patter like idiots in thjeir majors and a tiny percentage give college a good name.

I was an entirely self taught Electronics Engineer that did so much work on medical instruments that it would be impossible for you to be admitted and not have an instrument that I designed and programed or a later improved version used upon you. And yet without a degree, I could not be hired today. Not that I want to be, but I keep being sent queries as if I wanted to work and every one of them requires a degree for work I consider elementary. Not to mention requiring two years experience in a solfware language used for writing test procedures. This would require two weeks to learn from scratch. Idiocy has become the name of the game since Obama was elected 20 years ago.
