What texts contain information about fruit trees, especially apple trees?
I'm looking for the height, growth rate, how hardy is the tree, etc. This
along with info on the fruit; whens the harvest, storable?, hows it taste,
color... Any suggestions?

it helps to know the area for what to search for
in varieties.

By "area," Songbird meant your location.

Location has a lot to do with which fruits will thrive
and what won't. Plus which varieties do well in your location.
Very important information.

Nyssa, who has blueberry plants that do well in her area
but knows other varieties will do better in the North

Nyssa I should have mentioned that the US is the area of
intrest. Thanks for pointing to that. More specifically
would be the midwest, but a general text with info on
other areas in the US is best.
