Co founders Tiffany Justice and Tina Deskovitch were interviewed by Scott Pelley. They
kept dodging questions. The moms complained that "kids go to school to be educated, not
indoctrinated into ideology". When asked what they were being indoctrinated in, Tina
Justice ignored the question and changed the subject, Deskovitch also dodged the question.
Pelley told the they were being evasive and asked again what ideology the kids were being
indoctrinated in. They still dodged. He tried again and still didn't get a straight
answer. Over and over they avoided answering questions and returned to talking points.

The Beaufort school system that was under fire, had been forced by threat of violence to
remove 97 books. The school district took them on. They asked for volunteers from the
town. They got 146 parents and school employees. They spent a year reading, reviewing
and voting on the books. Of the 97, 5 were adjudged too graphic in sex or violence, the
other 95 the parents returned to the schools.

One mom of a 16 year old student, a combat veteran who served in Iraq, found no issues
with any of the books and said that the last thing on her mind overseas was "that I would
have to come back and do this to make sure the freedom that we fight for is taken out of
the hands of students and parents."

Moms for Liberty has it's own troubles. The third co founder, Bridget Ziegler, admitted
to having a threeway with her husband and another woman. This came to light after he was
accused of rape in an unrelated incident. In that case a jury found the sex consensual.
Nevertheless, Ziegler is being asked to leave the Sarasota school board and her husband
lost his position as Chair of the Florida Republican Party.

Parents aren't entirely convinced. Moms for Liberty endorsed 166 school board candidates
last year. Two thirds of them lost.

One book that was banned and restored was a Pulitzer Prize winning novel of antisemitism,
"The Fixer". It contained this admonition.

"There are no wrong books. What's wrong is the fear of them."
