The special relationship's great 12-mile test in the South China Sea - the willingness of allies to bear arms in common cause and against mortal threat. It will show Beijing that democracies are awakened. Democracy or the "power of the gun" as in the 16th - 20th centuries where the White Europeans stole everything and enslaved colored people???

--------

The writer of the article fantasizes about the English-speaking "Commonwealth" coming together to fight China. Actually, there's such a "commonwealth".. It's called the Five Eyes, and they could do nothing about China other than issue cheap propaganda.

Oh, and the writer talks about the US challenging China's 12-mile territorial boundaries. Well, the US doesn't respect even one inch of the territorial boundaries of all its regime change countries. It even threw out the entire island population of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean to build military bases there.

The writer even jumps for joy at Boris Johnson sending the British aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth to the South China Sea for some chest-thumping performance. The last time the Brits did a similar stunt was in WWII, when they sent a naval armada to the South China Sea, whereupon Japanese fighter bombers and torpedo aircraft flying all the way from Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City) easily dispatched the armada's lead ship, HMS Prince of Wales, Britain's mightiest battleship, and the battle cruiser, HMS Repulse, to the bottom of the sea. The Brits need not have sent the HMS Queen Elizabeth "armada" to be permanently stationed in the South China Sea. HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Repulse are permanently stationed there already.
