Chaos has broken out on the streets of Derry today, as members
of the media were attacked with petrol bombs and a van was set
alight following a dissident march to mark the anniversary of
the Easter Rising.

Shocking video footage from the event shows masked teenagers
carrying petrol bombs in crates, while a van was destroyed
after being engulfed in flames.

Police warned the public to avoid the Creggan area of the city,
while a drone issued a warning to the crowds assembled that
it was an unnotified parade.

The event, organised by the Derry 1916 Commemoration Committee,
started in the Central Drive area of Creggan before making its
way to the City Cemetery.
