June 16 (Reuters) - The Nord Stream 1 pipeline, which supplies gas from Russia to Europe under the Baltic Sea, could be suspended due to problems over the repair of its turbines in Canada, Russia’s ambassador to the European Union told the state news agency RIA Novosti on Thursday.

Gazprom said on Tuesday it had curbed supplies via the to Germany to up to 100 million cubic meters (mcm) per day, down from 167 mcm, citing the delayed return of equipment that had been sent for repair.
