It makes perfect sense in short term (year or two) IMHO. In longer term
Taliban "quite likely" will acquire anti-aircraft weapons sufficient to
generate slow but steady stream of casualties. Search & Rescue
operations "may" turn ugly. DO NOT expect air support to be cost
effective forever for US (politically and militarily).
