West virginia is an unusual case, an exception to the red blue dynamic

It was very democratic at one point chiefly because coal miners were in unions which is usually a democrat constituency

But they are very pro gun (alleging that hunting is part of every child's inheritance). Hunting and 2nd amendment is usulally a gop thing

but then you have the trump thing, they generally side with him on immigration (even though they only border with states, not other countries)

but his anger about exporting jobs was probably the one thing that put him over the top in that

generalizations sure

It is a confusing state to characterize and so it is hard to even understand how manchin won governor never mind senate

His polls must be confusing
