While vacationing in Wildwood, NJ recently, I sought out nearby wine producers and settled on four. I bought three bottles from each.

The following bottles were from Cape May Winery & Vineyard:
2021 Vidal Blanc - Straw yellow in appearance, peach/apple aromas, tangy flavors of peach, lemon and Granny Smith apple, finished dry.

2020 Syrah - Opaque maroon color, red berries and black pepper on the nose, blackberry and plum flavors with a bit of green bell pepper, a touch tannic.

2020 Red blend - Dark plum jam color with an aroma to match, raspberry and plum flavors with tobacco, also a bit tannic. Uncomplicated, a good food wine.

I will put up my next installment whenever I open the next three bottles. Such heavy labor!

Dan-O (Had good weather on my trip!)

Yeah, no complaints about my stay there. I hadn't been to Wildwood since I was in my teens (I'm now 58), so it was pretty much all new to me. Cape May has a state park that offers a leisurely hiking trail, and the people I met at the wineries seemed eager to talk about their produce. Good times.

Yeah, can't say I've ever been motivated enough to try the local
wineries when vacationing on the Jersey shore (we usually stayed in
Ocean City, a dry town; thankfully Circle Liquors is right across the
causeway :)) so thank you for the trip report. You've probably left the
area already, but if not you should check out Crabby's in Mays Landing
if you can.

I was there in August, but thanks for the recommendation, Mark.
