What was the age requirement, if any, for an individual to be involved, as deforcient or plaintiff?

Ditto, deforcients, to EDWARD COOKE, plaintiff…"Manors of Feeld and Knell... quitclaimed to plaintiff and heirs" (East., 3&4 Ph. & Mary [1557]

Curiously, 1557 was the year that John Cooke of Brodewater died, naming brothers John & Edward. He also mentioned, in his will, sons Anthony, Peter, John, and Thomas. Only Thomas was above 10 years, but not yet 21 yrs, at the writing of the will (8 Sep 1557).

Trying to ascertain WHICH "John & Thomas, plaintiffs" were involved in the 1557 Quitclaim.

Actually, that should read "John Cooke of Brodewater died, naming brother Edward & a Thomas Cooke [..."relation not given]

When you say Kathering Spaulding, did you mean Kathering STRADLING?
