I did find good uses for it. It also was useful for making patches for all my mistakes.

Thank you, Michael. I've been looking to build up my creds to participate in this knowledgeable group of woodworkers. I must be seasoned. I made enough mistakes on this project to last a lifetime. The main thing it did for me is to enhance my experience and appreciation for wood finishing processes.

I would not call them mistakes. I would call them learning opportunities that will make the next project go even smoother!
