Almost always in this situation in the opening you make the offensive bar point. However the duplication of the opponent's threes combined with the location of his outfield builder make this an exception and we should make the defensive bar and slot our own.

Now this is a helpful analysis which I can learn from. However I would
probably still play the single 6 from the 24-point.

This looks a bit like a problem from Robertie's book. The first
three 6's are automatic: 11/5 24/18 13/7. In this position, I'd
much rather get hit on the 18pt than the 7pt so I cover the 7pt
with 13/7.

Interesting. I think I would have caught the duplication
of threes if O's outfield checker had been on her 10pt
(recalling Nack's repeated emphasis on the 10pt builder),
but I missed it here.

XG 3-ply makes the seven point. XGR+, XGR++, and rollout all say make
the 18 point. But it's not a huge error to make the seven.

A blot on the 18 is exposed to a triple shot while a blot on the seven
only exposes a double shot. And as Stick points out, 3s are duped if we
slot the seven.

It came from the Facebook Humans vs XG online games. Everyone voted for
making the seven, even neilkaz.
