I played 24/18 6/3(2) but it's not clear in retrospect why this was so bad.
I built up my board in anticipation of future shots.
13/10(2) clearly would improve my position too, but I can't see why it's so
much better.
Whether my blunder was instructive depends on what I learn from it.
I ain't learned the real lesson yet.

13/10(2) is good for both priming and blitzing. 6/3(2) is good for
a blitz but is committal. If O anchors with a 3, then those checkers
on your 3pt aren't doing much. Plus, if O doesn't anchor with a 3,
then you might appreciate having spares on your 6pt to help you make
your 4pt.
