Parvus Libellulus
Ei in Africa Septentrionali bello novissimo obveni. Ego meum album
insigne in rivulo lavabam; tum subito hominem me spectantem sensi; qui
vestitus erat Germanica galea, Italica tunica, Britannicis caligis.
Sub sole calido nostra amicitia maturavit usque adeo ut uno die mihi
exprompserit se esse scriptorem statuisse. Chartam parvulam revelavit
ubi scriptum erat unum verbum; tamen.

"Album vexillum" suggests to me the flag of St George; or emperor
Constantine going into battle with standards painted with the Chi Rho.
In many books I've read and films I've seen, people wave a white shirt
or bed linen out of a window.
