My Ryobi P015 Reciprocating Saw worked find when I first bought it, but over time the blade would fall out after using the saw for 10 minutes or so. Over time it got worse until now it's unusable. I have tried new blades, including Dewalt brand. It happens with the hacksaw and wood blades. Most disappointing.

Neither I nor Ryobi ever heard of a Ryobi P015 Reciprocating Saw. Are you sure that's the model number?

If the blade holding system is like the RJ161V - tool-less with a spring loaded lever on the side, try cleaning the
slot where the blade slips in. The blade is only held in by the rounded end of a small rod that goes into the
hole in the blade.

if the blade is not fully inserted into the slot or the rod end does not fully engage with the blade, the blade
will eventually vibrate it's way out. It's part # 10 here for the RJ161V model. Yours *may* be similar.

I could be mistaken, but I believe after 14 years the problem is no longer an
issue for the OP.

You are probably not mistaken but I believe that that has nothing to do with
my response.

I was responding to Kevin who posted roughly 3 hours ago. You'll note that I
referenced the model number that Kevin used. KOS did not include a model
number in his OP, which sort of indicates that I was not responding to him/her.

Mmmm... the passive aggression is palpable.

I say just light him up.
