interests / soc.culture.china / Why is there anti Americanism on Quora, especially from Brits, EU, Australia & Canada? Americans are generally very friendly people & invented many of the global brands we take for granted like Coca Cola, Levi's, Ford & Apple. I am not against them.

On Quora, Americans tend to ask dumb questions about the Queen of England, who has been dead for hundreds of years or about the right to bear arms, nearly all of the other countries citizens think that guns should not be available for everyone.

As for your assertion that Americans invented such things as in your list, Levi Strauss was German, the iPhone and iPad started off with ARM technology which is British, the iPod was invented by a British person and copyrighted it but couldn’t afford to develop it. Ten years later, after the copyright ran out, apple used her designs. Even the designer of the iPhone was British.

There really isn’t much that America has invented that wasn’t invented elsewhere first.
