Is America the best country in the world when it comes to freedom of speech?
No, it’s one of the worst. America regular censors speech. The most high-profile example is Donald Trump who was banned from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Another example is QAnon whose website was forcibly shut down. There are many more examples, though you will need to do a deep dive.

America has recently begun cracking down on “fake news.”

America prohibits hate speech and speech that incites violence or rebellion..

America prohibits cyber bullying.

Let me remind you of Edward Snowden and Julian Assange.
