It's a shame you people could be are so cruel & ignorant...
I'm so sick of people saying "let nature take it's course. I've rehabilitated birds and small animals. Most have had one thing in common; the will to live. Many orphaned opossums I raised went freely back into the wild. One opossum found his way "home" from a canyon over a mile away. Another just refused to leave. So he had his own steps to a window in my kitchen built.
My coyote mix was a street dog from Mexico. Animal control and the vet said it was most humane to euthanize him. I see him running on the beach 6 years later and beg to disagree.
It's amazing you gave this seagull a chance, I hope he pulled through.
