For anyone new to the Internet and alt.food.fast-food, you can post
links to photos of fast food in any format you wish.

Popular types are GIF, TIFF, JPEG (sometimes abbreviated in the
standard three-letter 'jpg') PNG, and WEBP formats.

Any other formats, such as PSD [Photoshop Document] or EPS
[Encapsulated Postscript] run the risk of not being able to be viewed
by the user due to specialized software being required. But nothing
stops you from posting a link to a photo using one of these formats if
you wish.

Someone is going claiming they've "banned" links to photos using the
WEBP format,
