The unnecessary military and political defeats in the Vietnam War and Afghanistan War along with national borders which are out of control and subject to massive illegal immigration indicate that the USA has a dysfunctional and self destructive political system.
The dysfunction and self destructive nature of our political system encourages military aggression against the USA as the same implies that our political system lacks the political will, political organization, national support, and political competence to effectively respond to the same.
The same encourages powerful and well organized groups in and outside of the the USA to aggressively economically and politically prey on the American citizenry.
Our "winner take all", "Gerry mandered", and "bought" political system, which is now, in fact, an Oligarchy must be dramatically reformed if the USA is to escape it's inevitable decline as the result of the same.
Changing our current electoral system to some form of "proportional electoral system" would, at least , in part, address and correct the aforementioned political problems, in my opinion.
