What does Biden want to achieve with this opinion piece besides it would continue to support Ukraine militarily and financially and would send Ukraine more advanced weaponry?

Biden declared "We do not seek a war between NATO and Russia. " Sounds great. But what does Biden expect with above declaration?
Should Russia simply take his word and feel safe? To the extent that NATO members feel threatened by Russia, should Russia not also feel threatened by NATO. Is Russia not NATO's assumed enemy?

Russia projects their desire to overwhelm on everyone. They are paranoid and thus dangerous. We just want them to leave us alone.

Actually he is seeking war with Russia through their "natonised" use of NATO members. He is riding a horse tapping around like in the circus.

You are probably right. Biden may not mind using Ukraine to weaken Russia as Afghanistan did
to the former USSR. On the hand, Biden does not want to have hostility limit the scope of hostility
and the risk of nuclear war with Russia. But then he does not want to give up the idea that Russia
constitutes grave threat to other supposedly democratic and therefore peaceful by default nations
including Ukraine. However, saying NATO is peaceful and Russia should accept his word is not going
to work. NATO is targeting Russia. With Ukraine playing point would make NATO a greater threat.

Other political leaders such as Japan's Shinzo Aba also blamed Zelensky for the current tragic
development. Ukraine should have gave Donbass to Russia and abandon joining NATO.

The implicit assumption is that NATO is targeting Russia and Ukraine joining NATO would not be
tolerated by responsible Russian leaders.

HIMARS is one of the most advanced weapon system for any army. And it is not cheap.
The US Army had ordered 25 of this system 4 years ago to be delivered next month this year
for a total of $289 million. Will it change the course of the war in Ukraine.

One could say Biden's article is nuanced. But for those in the US who want for direct action,
it was just wishy-washy. Biden and his team had heightened the Russian risk to world order
just decided not to take resolute action to achieve cognitive closure.
