An interview with Taiwan’s foreign minister published in an Israeli
newspaper has reportedly ruffled feathers in China.

Jerusalem Post editor Yaakov Katz said he received a call from the
Chinese embassy in Israel, insisting that his outlet take down the
interview.

"Didn’t take long. Got call from Chinese embassy. Apparently I’m
supposed to take down the story or they will sever ties with the
@Jerusalem_Post and downgrade relations with the State of Israel,"
Katz tweeted shortly after the article was published. "Needless to
say, story ain’t going anywhere."

In the interview, Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu warned of the
threat posed by China’s authoritarian regime.

"When dealing with China, you should never accept preconditions
because once you accept preconditions, you lose no matter what," Wu
said. "And when you worry about China getting angry and give in, or
make pledges that you shouldn’t make concessions, China also wins."

Taiwan is inalienable part of China. There is no question about it with the one China recognition by the UN. Even the US and all other countries in the UN had accepted Taiwan is part of China. Hence there is no reason for any recognition of Taiwan and hence not even interview of the Taiwan foreign minister which should not exist in the first place in the world. Any country including Israel in trying to trample on the one-China principle will get their desert from them.

China should bear no illusion that it can tell Israel what to do or not to do. Israel is forever beholden to the US-led West. It was formed out of Palestine by the British. As British might wanes and US might grows, Israel becomes beholden to the US. The continuing existence of the state of Israel is a cornerstone of the West's Rules-based International Order. Whichever country threatens the existence of Israel will be countered by the full might of the West. That's what happened to Iraq, Libya, Syria and Iran.

Israel can have nuclear weapons but not any of the Arab Muslim nations in the Middle East. Israel can bomb any of the start-up nuclear facilities in the Arab Muslim nations without any problem. This is in accordance with the Rules-based International Order of the West.

Watch out for the next attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.
