I wanted to add a wiki page on the Tk core wiki to author migration
notes for 9.0.

First, I did not find the "new wiki page" in the web interface.

I tried to use the command line interface.
Bul already listing the wiki pages does not really work:

> fossil wiki ls
Fixing old binary attachments

There is no other output and the only currently present wiki page is not
listed. It is the most recent fossil.

Any idea welcome !

Take care,
Harald

For what it's worth, I have the same experience on my linux box, that
is, no "wiki" option at the top of the webpage. However, I do see it
using Windows. I have no explanation for the difference.

To view the "new wiki page" web page you want on linux, this worked for me:
1. Launch fossil in your browser: fossil ui,
2. Select an option, say "Admin"- you should see
"localhost:8080/setup",
3. change "setup" to "wiki"

Hope this helps,
-mike

The reason is likely to be because the Wiki item in the main menu was specified as "wideonly", meaning it would only appear if the browser window is "very wide", as per the comments at https://core.tcl-lang.org/tk/setup_config. I've changed that so the Wiki item always appears (albeit I've left it at the end just before Admin). I've done the same for the Tcl repository too.

Yes, widening the browser window on my 17-inch monitor reveals all.

Separately, my Tk login account has insufficient privilege to view the
link to setup_config and I don't see it in the Tk repository. What is
setup_config?

Thats the fossil admin page, it just tells you the different options for specifying the menu items.

Yes, I see it. Thanks for the clarification.
